The Estonian School Sports Union (ESSU) works at promoting sport in schools throughout Estonia. With the help of their sponsors they are able to provide support to schools, by providing sports equipment, coaching and organising competitions.
The Estonian Cricket Association (ECA) will use the extensive, established relationship that the ESSU has with Estonian schools, to communicate about cricket and to help spread cricket into the schools. The ESSU is committed to helping the ECA establish cricket as an official school sport and to adding cricket to its portfolio of school sports.
Our first combined project was the Tervispaev program, where 3 lucky schools were the winners of Kwik cricket sets and training for the PE teachers. This program provided marketing for the ECA school cricket development, making the schools aware that cricket is played in Estonia and that they can offer cricket as a school sport.
