Rob is considered to be a kind of "Mr versatility" in the team, as he has in the past opened both the batting and bowling for the team. Rob has also shown to be a useful wicket keeper and has on one occasion captained the side under the guidance of experienced team mates. He is more noted though as a difficult bowler to score from and with a knack for taking a crucial wicket when needed. As a batsman he plays the vital role in supporting the leading batsman by "holding up an end" and rotating the strike.
