Gleb, Andres, Vinni & Tim F held a lecture at Tallinn Ulikool today. We had one hour to present cricket to a room of about 20 students.
We started off with a power point presentation explaining the back ground to cricket and formats of the game, test ODI etc.
Bats & balls were distributed amongst the students, I think they were quite shocked how hard the balls are & how heavy the bats are.
We showed 2 videos, first an introduction to the rules, and second an example of 'exciting' cricket.
Gleb & Andres were excellent in their delivery of the speech and went on to mention the Wales & Finland victories.
Pealtnagjia show was used, as this has proved to be a very useful tool for Estonian cricket. Gleb & Andres closed with information about the progression of cricket in Estonia & how the university students and their friends could come along and play.
Many questins were asked and great interest shown. We have at least 10 people coming next week... |
